BLIZZARD OF 96 SURVIVOR

Everyone who lived in Victoria B.C. on December 26th 1996 knows of the Blizzard of 96. It rarely snowed in Victoria like it did over those next couple days. I personally was at my friends arcade in Happy Valley and I had driven my moms car out there and after seeing the snow decided to leave it there and grab it the next day. The snow always melts by morning, right? As we drove back into town the snow was so bad that I just stayed at my friends house and woke up to The BLIZZARD OF 96. I walked to a friends in the morning and hung out but then decided that I could walk fro Cordova Bay to Gordon head in my non wintery outfit. Big Mistake…by the time I got near the old hotel by Mount Doug park I was freezing and thankfully a couple dudes drove by in their pickup and gave me a ride to the 7-11 on Shelbourne. I sat inside and warmed up and drank probably the most delicious hot chocolate I will ever have in my life.
