THE SECRET COFFEE HOUSE
The Secret Coffee House was opened by five young Victoria college student on February 9th 1963. It was Victoria’s first avant guard cultural coffee house that was host to many a performer. It was in the basement of the Westholme Hotel on Government street.The Secret featured dim lights, espresso coffee and a great atmosphere. As a comedian who has performed in many a modern day coffee house, I applaud these gentlemen for starting something that I would have loved to have played at.
