The Fat Cat Restaurant owned by Eric and Suzanne replaced the Melrose Cafe in the late 1970’s on the 600 block of Yates St. before the Day & Night Restaurant took over. It was a favourite of locals and cat lovers as it was decorated with Kilbans cat pictures. Whether you wanted short ribs for dinner, tea and a cinnamon roll or a milkshake for under a dollar this Classic Victoria B.C restaurant would have been great to go to.
